Welcome to BaseKit. BaseKit is operated by Glyde Games. By using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using BaseKit, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

BaseKit is an offline-first survival and first-aid reference assistant powered by an on-device AI model. It provides educational guidance in the form of chat answers and camera-based identification for plants, wildlife, and injuries. Core functionality runs entirely on your iPhone and does not require an internet connection after initial setup.

3. Not Medical Advice, Not a Substitute for Emergency Services

BaseKit's survival and first-aid content is drawn from public-domain field manuals and is intended as educational reference material, not medical advice. Information provided by BaseKit must not be relied on as a substitute for professional medical care, diagnosis, or emergency services. In a life-threatening situation, contact local emergency services first. You use BaseKit's guidance entirely at your own risk.

4. User Accounts

You must create an account to use BaseKit. Accounts are created via Apple Sign-In or email and managed by Supabase Auth on our behalf. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under it.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

• BaseKit requires an active subscription to use. Subscriptions are offered at $9.99 per month or $59.99 per year.
• All subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and managed by RevenueCat on our behalf.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions.
• Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request one.
• No partial refunds are provided for unused subscription periods.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app or the AI model it runs
• Use BaseKit in a way that violates Apple's App Store Terms
• Circumvent any usage limits, security measures, or paywall

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. AI-Generated Content

BaseKit uses an on-device language model to generate responses. AI-generated responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any information provided by the app before acting on it. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, safety, or reliability of AI outputs, and disclaim all liability for actions taken in reliance on them.

8. Knowledge Packs

BaseKit lets you download optional regional knowledge packs. These packs are static databases of additional field-manual content authored or curated by us, not user-generated content. We may add, update, or remove packs at any time.

9. Intellectual Property

The app, its design, the BaseKit brand, and the underlying knowledge-pack content curation are owned by Glyde Games and protected by intellectual property laws. The Gemma 4 model itself is licensed separately under its own open-weight license. You retain ownership of anything you write in a chat session (which never leaves your device).

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Survival scenarios are inherently dangerous; BaseKit is a reference tool, not a guarantee of safety.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glyde Games shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to damages arising from reliance on AI-generated content, medical outcomes, loss of life, personal injury, or property damage. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the app is to cancel your subscription and stop using it.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey.
